The Importance of Gurus: A Look into My Most-Influential Guides

Image
Author: Allie O. Similar to yesterday's post, I want to share a few special gurus without whom I would not be the person I am today. They are in no particular order because each one comes to me when I feel the need to call upon them for help. Lord Krishna  Lord Krishna is a Hindu deity. He is the bringer of love, and when I devote myself to his gentle yet powerful presence, I feel within me the mirrored, gentle glow of his spirit. He awakens my heart chakra, freeing me from the tendrils of my darkened soul. He reminds me that love is free, and it is pure.  Through my meditations and prayers to Lord Krishna, I find negative, unloving energy that I have been harbouring. He helps me channel my energy towards that which we all seek: divine peace and divine love, ridding me of the negative thoughts and emotions that have blocked the gateway to my heart centre.  Master Choa Kok Sui Master Choa Kok Sui, mentioned here , is the founder of pranic healin...

3 Ways to Rid Yourself of Negative Energy

Image
By Allie O. Negative energy is a natural part of existence. Light and shadows, positives and negatives- these exist in a delicate balance all around us. Sometimes, however, that delicate balance is disturbed, creating an overwhelming amount of negative energy that is harboured within our auras and cells. Thankfully, there are many methods in which one can temporarily rid themselves of negative energy and restore the body and soul to their proper balance. In this blog I will be covering three ways that have best worked for me. 1. Meditation on Twin Hearts This guided meditation is one of the most beautiful and effective for removing trapped energy.  Meditation on Twin Hearts  is a practice created by Grand-master Choa Kok Sui and maintained by thousands of followers, most notable being Master Stephen Co. The meditation typically goes as following: a. light exercise to loosen stuck energy b. prayers to the divine god-power within and around us c. a cultivation of...

Human Design: Feeling Powerless as a Manifestor

Image
Hello readers, As you may know, I am a Manifestor. If you don't know what that means, check out this link on Manifestors. Now, I assume most of you do know what a manifestor is, as you've stumbled upon my blog. And if this is correct, perhaps you are also feeling a bit powerless as a Manifestor. First, let's have a look at my chart: My Unique Human Design As you can see, I have the root centre (bottom brown), the solar plexus centre (right brown), and throat centre defined in my chart. One would think that, as a Manifestor with a throat centre connected directly to my solar plexus, the most powerful authority centre, I'd have no problem voicing my feelings and being heard by others. This, however, couldn't be further from the truth. I struggle to be heard. I often feel like a projector who needs to be invited to speak or else no heads turn my way in a group. I can't initiate because no one wants to listen to me in the first place. I have tried record...

Human Design: My Conscious Personality

My Conscious Gates/Personality 64.1- Confusion The Gate of Confusion energy is the abstract. ''We have all these little pieces of the puzzle, how do they go together?'' You have the ability to identify all the pieces, but may struggle to put it all together. In looking at all the pieces it can be a bit confusing or dizzying.             Location: Head Centre 63.1- Doubt The Gate of Doubt is the energy of logical questioning. It is the first step of analysis in the logic circuit. When the first cell phone was invented, this gate asked the questions, ''Is it safe? Will it work? Will people actually use them?'' This energy starts the drive to find the answer through logic.                 Location: Head Centre 49.1- Principles The Gate of Principles is the energy of principles and revolution. If the activity or behavior is not within the ...

Human Design: A Look into Gates and Channels

Image
I have spent the entire day studying up on Human Design. I realised that I can't solely focus on my Strategy (Manifestor), Inner Authority (Emotional), or even my Defined versus Open Centres. Today I decided to invest time into understanding the gates. Let me start out by posting my Rave Chart: Profile:  1/3 Type:  Manifestor Strategy:  To Inform Signature:  Peace Not-Self Theme:  Anger Inner Authority:  Emotional Authority      Incarnation Cross:  Right Angle Cross of Consciousness (63/64 | 5/35) Previously, I had looked at the big picture because it seemed daunting to try to figure out what the red and black lines were, what the symbols, personality, and design meant, but after slowly studying this information and waiting for my energetic levels to be high enough to fully immerse myself, I've finally begun to make sense out of Human Design. I had no idea there was so much information out there, but after seeing ...

The Anti-Social Manifestor?

As I've stated in previous blog posts, I am a Manifestor, according to Human Design. We have the energetic components to inspire and initiate projects and events. I've read on a few descriptive sites that Manifestors, while they are natural born leaders when possessed with the energy to use their creative momentum, are more like lone wolves. This makes me wonder if the Manifestor is generally an introverted or extroverted person. Also previously mentioned in past blogs, I am an INFJ. This is the rarest personality type on the Myers Brigg's personality test . It also supports the idea that I am a lone wolf for this very reason. The INFJ personality is the most extroverted of introverts; this could indicate that I have the potential to be quite extroverted, but to be mistaken as an extroverted person would mean feeling the pressure of being expected to maintain levels of such energetic frequencies. I often must retreat into my lair- my domain of solitude and brooding inner-ps...

Human Design Manifestor

I recently have become interested in the Human Design . Last summer, my good friend sought me out and asked my date of birth because he was interested in what my Rave Chart would say. It turns out, I am a Manifestor. Now, I'm generally a wee bit cynical about such concepts. It uses astrology in a way that is very different from Horoscopes, creating a chart that categorises people into 4 different classes. In order of the most common to the least common: Generator, Projector, Manifestor, and Reflector. As a Manifestor, I am a natural born leader. We make up approximately 7 percent of the population. Ironically, most Manifestors go about their lives with much passivity. At early ages, because we do not know how to inform before making our decisions, we are met with resistance. Resistance leads to feelings of anger, resentment, and bitterness. Many Generators go on to assume the roles of Manifestors because of our withdrawal from our duties. I know this has explained my experiences ...
